Chicago White Sox The Chicago White Sox are a franchise of Major League Baseball. The team plays in the American League's Central Division and hosts home games at the U.S. Cellular Field. The club was established in 1900 and has won the World Series three times, most recently in 2005 when they swept the Houston Astros in four games. The White Sox share the city with their rival team, the Chicago Cubs. Other rivals are the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians.

Chicago White Sox Hall of Famers are Luis Aparicio, Luke Appling, Eddie Collins, George Davis, Red Faber, Nellie Fox, Ted Lyons, Ray Schalk, Bill Veeck, and Ed Walsh. Former Major League player and White Sox owner Charles Comiskey was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1939.
