Broadway In Chicago was brought to Chicago by the Nederlander Production Company of America in 2000. Over a million people are entertained annually in the company's five theaters: Bank of America Theatre, Ford Center for the Performing Arts/Oriental Theatre, Cadillac Palace Theatre, Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, and the Broadway Playhouse.
Famous shows like "The Producers," "Wicked," "The Lion King," "9 to 5," "Les Miserables," "Peter Pan," "South Pacific," "The Color Purple," "RAIN: A Tribute to The Beatles," and "Mamma Mia!" have helped Broadway In Chicago become one of the largest touring homes in the nation and revitalize the Chicago Theater District.
